The Figo has been awarded 20 Indian auto industry awards, more honours than any other car in 2010. The Ford Figo was voted the 2011 Indian Car of the Year by a panel of leading automotive magazine editors. It was also named runner-up in the 2011 South African Car of the Year Awards.

Hyundai entered the Indian market in 1997 with the Atos, marketed under the name Santro and various variants as Zip Drive, Zip Plus etc. Produced at Hyundai’s factory in Chennai, its primary competitor at that time was the popular Maruti Suzuki Zen. The distinctive styling of the first generation had mixed reviews, but the car was a success primarily due to its power steering feature and price.

The Hyundai Eon, or Hyundai Atos Eon, is a city car produced by the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai. It was launched on 1 October 2011 in India, March 2012 in the Philippines, June 2012 in Vietnam, and June 2014 in Sri Lanka. It is also sold in Algeria, Chile, Panama, and Colombia.
The Eon is produced in India at Hyundai’s Chennai plant for the domestic and export markets as the company’s entry-level city car.

In 2008, Hyundai commemorated 10 years of operations in India by initiating a transcontinental drive from Delhi to Paris in two of its i10 Kappa cars. The drive covered a distance of 10,000 kilometres (6,200 mi) in just 17 days after which the i10s were showcased at the Paris Motor Show in October. At the Paris Motor Show, Hyundai unveiled the Hyundai i20.

Sales of the Swift had reached cumulative worldwide sales of four million units in August 2014 (nine years and nine months since the start of sales in 2004). Especially in India, ever since its launch in 2005, the Swift steadily increased its sales in line with the market expansion due to economic growth, such as by adding diesel variants and sedans. Of the four million units, units sold in India account for approximately half of them. Also, approximately 19% were sold in Europe, and approximately 11% were sold in Japan. By June 2008, cumulative sales of the Swift reached 1 million and in January 2011, cumulative sales totaled at 2 million.

The Maruti Alto is the Indian-built version of the fifth generation Alto, manufactured by Maruti Suzuki. It was launched in the local Indian market on 27 Septemba 2000 although the Alto nameplate had been successfully used to export the Maruti Zen to Europe from India since around 1994 having captured over 40% market share in Belgium and 33% in Netherlands by 1998. It is the best-selling hatchback in India. Since 2006, It is India’s largest selling car and crossed the 1 million production figure in February 2008 becoming the third Maruti model to cross the million mark in India after Maruti 800 and Maruti Omni and fourth overall joining Hyundai Santro. A new version of the Alto called the Alto 800 was released in the Indian car market on 16 October 2012. Besides being exported to Europe from 1994 to 2004, it has also been exported to several other countries.
1.Tata Nano (Rs.1.41 – 2.58 lakhs)
There were reports of several fire incidents involving the Nano. The company denied those were connected to the car’s design or its parts and blamed “foreign electrical equipment” found on top of the exhaust system. The company offered to retrofit the exhaust and electrical systems but refused to recall the cars. Tata extended the warranty on the car, including those already sold, from 18 months to four years in early December 2010.
